TCHINDA FOSSI CEDRIC
About: Tchinda Fossi Cedric has a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry speciality Pharmacology, Master’s degree in Biochemistry and a Master’s degree in Public Health from University of Yaounde I (UYI) and the Catholic Universty of Central Africa (UCAC) respectively. He is a coordinator of research activities at the Laboratory of Research in Tuberculosis and Pharmacology of the UYI Biotechnology center and also member of research team of Professor Kuete Victor (Full Professor at the University of Dschang-Cameroon and Editor Investigational Medical chemistry and Pharmacology “IMCP”), working in the field of pharmacognosy and investigating the biological and chemical activities of medicinal plants in Africa. In his research, Dr Tchinda is interested in the discovery of new molecules from medicinal plants that can fight against multidrug-resistant phenotypes (MDR) and also studies in Public Heath chronic and infectious diseases. Dr tchinda has also received numerous awards and scholarships during academic studies. He combines research and teaching and has as a major objective to impact the world of research and that of education in order to make his modest contribution to the evolution of science and also to the improvement of living conditions of the populations. He has been an assistant/teacher at the Department of Public Health at UCAC and also at the UYI biochemistry department and, more recently, an investigator/ supervisor at several NGOs working in Cameroon as part of the evaluation and carrying out their research projects in the field.
